Describing Computation within RDF
نویسنده
چکیده
A programming language is described which is built within RDF. Its code, functions, and classes are formalized as RDF resources. Programs may be expressed directly using standard RDF syntax, or via a conventional JavaScript–based syntax. RDF constitutes not only the means of expression, but also the subject matter of programs: the native objects and classes of the language are RDF resources and DAM L+OIL classes, respectively. The formalization of computation within RDF allows active content to be integrated seamlessly into RDF repositories, and provides a programming environment which simplifies the manipulation of RDF when compared to use of a conventional language via an API. The name of the language is "Fabl".

RDF Production from Municipal Wastes (Case Study: Babol City)
Today, with the advancement of technology, turning waste into fuel has been considered as an inexhaustible source of energy production, especially in industries with high energy consumption. The most important of these industries are Cement and Iron Smelting factories. Babol, as one of the largest provinces in the north of the country, has been facing waste management crisis for several years w...
متن کاملDistributed Reasoning with EL using MapReduce
It has recently been shown that the MapReduce framework for distributed computation can be used effectively for large-scale RDF Schema reasoning, computing the deductive closure of over a billion RDF triples within a reasonable time [23]. Later work has carried this approach over to OWL Horst [22]. In this paper, we provide a MapReduce algorithm for classifying knowledge bases in the descriptio...
متن کاملAccessing RDF(S) data resources in service-based Grid infrastructures
We describe the results of the RDF(S) activity within the Open Grid Forum (http://www.ogf.org) (OGF) Database Access and Integration Services (DAIS) Working Group (http://forge.gridforum.org/projects/ dais-wg) whose objective is to develop standard service-based grid access mechanisms for data expressed in RDF and RDF Schema. We produce two specifications, focused on the provision of SPARQL que...
متن کاملLogical Inferences with Contexts of RDF Triples
Logical inference, an integral feature of the Semantic Web, is the process of deriving new triples by applying entailment rules on knowledge bases. The entailment rules are determined by the model-theoretic semantics. Incorporating context of an RDF triple (e.g., provenance, time, and location) into the inferencing process requires the formal semantics to be capable of describing the context of...
متن کاملFinding Commonalities in Linked Open Data
The availability of a data source as huge, open, accessible and machine–understandable as the Web of Data asks for new and sophisticated inferences to be implemented in order to deeply exploit such a rich informative content. Towards this direction, the paper proposes an approach for inferring clusters in collections of RDF resources on the basis of the features shared by their descriptions. Th...
